Master of Arts in Teaching - Special Education - General Curriculum and Adapted Curriculum (Online)

Liberty University’s online Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) in Special Education – General and Adapted Curriculum with a Career and Technical Education (CTE)-Transition and Special Needs add-on endorsement is designed so that students can pursue their initial teaching license while also pursuing dual endorsements in general and adapted curriculum. Students who enroll in this program are likely looking to become licensed teachers. As students earn their initial teaching license, they will simultaneously be able to earn dual endorsements in general curriculum and adapted curriculum as well as a CTE add-on endorsement. Even if students do not have a previous degree in education, they can still pursue this program and develop important skills that are integral to the field of special education. The dual endorsement and CTE-transition and special needs aspects of our program are designed to help meet the special education teaching shortage and prepare students for a broad scope of potential jobs. Some careers students can confidently pursue upon graduation include teaching in special education classrooms, supervising special education teachers, and developing special education curriculum.
