As the U.S. healthcare landscape continues to expand, the industry’s professions are continuing to evolve. To meet the growing demand for exceptionally qualified health care professionals, The Chicago School’s Institute of Health Services provides the option for a dual enrollment degree combining a Master of Health Services Administration with a Master of Public Health.
This dual enrollment program offers a distinctive educational experience, providing students with the opportunity to learn organizational and analytical skills and strategies to provide solutions for complex issues surrounding health care and public health sectors through a diverse, inter-professional, and ethical approach.
Our program takes advantage of the many areas of overlap between each programs curriculum and allows students to receive both degrees upon completion of 69 credit hours. Graduates receive a Master of Health Services Administration (MHSA) and a Master of Public Health (MPH). Guided by practicing faculty with years of experience in the field, students enrolled in our Master of Health Services Administration program experience an online curriculum that incorporates evidence-based practice, research, business, and practical courses. While not currently accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME), the online healthcare management degree program aligns with the standards of CAHME and is based on The Leadership Competency Model established by the National Center for Healthcare Leadership. Built upon The Chicago School’s history of practitioner-focused learning, the Master of Public Health (MPH) program is designed for current or future community-based public health and healthcare practitioners passionate about making a dramatic impact in the health and wellness of others, particularly the marginalized and underserved.
